Help Us Understand How TSOs Approach Quality Management Across Europe
We’re inviting small and medium-sized Third Sector Organisations (TSOs) to take part in a European-wide survey on Quality Management (QM) — and we’d love your help!
Keep reading for more details!

Why this matters
As the Third Sector faces growing pressures and expectations, understanding how TSOs can improve quality, demonstrate value, and strengthen impact is more important than ever.
As such, we have partnered with The Learning Lab to undertake the study. “Challenges and differences in quality in third sector organisations at European level”. This survey is part of the CoQuality initiative, aiming to identify what drives effective Quality Management in TSOs, what barriers exist, and what support is needed.
After an initial literature review, we have identified key gaps in existing research, noting that current quality management frameworks are often designed for larger, well-resourced third sector organisations, leaving smaller and medium-sized TSOs underrepresented. Specifically, there’s a lack of systematic, comparative evidence on how these smaller organisations manage QM challenges in different contexts.
This study addresses that gap by comparing how small and medium TSOs across different European sectors and countries approach quality management, focusing on their practices, challenges, and perspectives.
The goal is to provide a nuanced, comparative analysis of QM challenges and practices among small and medium TSOs across Europe.
Practicalities about the survey:
- For TSOs with fewer than 250 staff
- Takes just 8–10 minutes
- Available in English, Spanish, and French
- Fully anonymous and GDPR-compliant
